This is an excellent beginner friendly camera that is marred by a very temperamental auto-exposure system that is easily fooled in uneven lighting conditions resulting in unexposed images. Exposure compensation of between +0.3 to +1.3 is required for most shots for best results.


Otherwise for the price I paid and for the features available, this was by far the best value DSLR that was on the market at the time.
