A full featured body, with three program modes, PA,P and PD: Action, Regular and Dept of Field, AP mode, Manual mode and Shutter Bias mode. After serveral tries on the used market I finally got one in perfect condition, with the optional grip. Also works with my winder and power grip that came with my KR-30sp and my XR-10.
The viewfinder display is a non back lit LCD with great indicators and a digital readout of the Apeture when in Program modes, it also has a Judas window at the bottom of the viewfinder it in AP and Manual modes.
Because the viewfinder is not backlit unless you also use the AE lock button it is very hard to read in low light.
My only reservation about this camera is that I have experence with failure of the electronics in a couple other XR-P's and KR-30sp's
