Pros: | Good controls, good grip, aperture can be set on the camera | Cons: | plastic mount, viewfinder could be a little bigger | | This is indeed a nice camera to use. Very good controls, good grip to hold and aperture can be set on the camera. This is all I need from a film camera body.

I can recommend this camera: Yes Value, Features, Performance & Size
Non crippled K mount (KAF2)
Solid build despite plastic lens mount
Feels quite good in the hand
Nicely positioned command dial Camera Review
The Z-70 is one of those Pentax that suddenly reminds me of another company's camera-it feels a lot like a Canon EOS.
It's one of the KAF2 Pentax models-unlike the later MZ-30/50 (with a "crippled" mount) you can have the aperture ring on lenses set to any position.
Solid build quality, despite having a plastic lens mount instead of one made out of steel.
I guess Pentax took inspiratioon from the earlier SF series, as the Z-70 has its status display panel behind the popup flash just like on the SF series models and a hot shoe on the grip instead of on top of the camera-weird yet feels balanced with a Sunpakl flash mounted.
AF is quick and I love the command dial-it has the right amount of travel with little resitance to it.
I mounted a smc Pentax-M 28mm f2 to the Z-70 and it still looks quite easy to handle.
