This is a great camera per other reviews. It is so easy to use and despite the size of the unit it falls easily to hand. After playng with mine the controls became very intuitive; very short learning curve. The flash unit can be fragile and the bottom lip around the battery door is prone to crack and come out, but the latter does not affect camera performance.
This model represents one of the best autofocus cmaeras built by Pentax. The only other ones I would recommend getting are the MZ-S and the MZ-3. I would rate this unit higher, but honestly, there are really no cameras that are truly perfect. ;)

This is an okay camera. Has few really nice redeeming qualities, but if all yiou want is a good backup to a high end Pentax this camera will do. Lack of useful exposure modes doesn't help either (along with no depth of field preview, DX code override, etc). Basically this is a big point and shoot that can allow change of lenses.

Easy to use camera. Has lots of good features for someone who wants a bit more than point and shoot. Very cheap build; mine died of mirror lock up issues.

Great camera. Has al the neat amateur and semi-pro features you could ask for. It would be nice though if the camera had multi-segment metering, but the spot and center weighted ones do the job. The auto focus tends to hunt a bit too. Thiis is okay though since it was Pentax's first real auto focus camera. The camera is a bit heaavy, but still fits in the hand well.

This camera is very easy to use and is packed with great features. Like everyone else has said, this camera is a throwback to older Pentax film cameras. However, it is very cheap in feel and construction. I have had three of these and within a few months of purchase they all suffered mirror lock up problems rendering them useless. I have been told this problem is common not only with this model, but other Pentax ZX cameras. Too bad as this camera otherwise is great.

Concur with the other reviews. This camera has plenty of great features and exposure modes to keep an advanced amateur happy, or a newbie too. The programming modes are vedry helpful. While not as extensive as the PZ-1, the MX-6 modes are useful. The biggest drawback is the rather cheap feel of the camera. Yes, it probably reflects the feeel of other cameras of that period, but it just does not have the quality feel of older film cameras.
