this is a very nice tool...:)
I bought the protection case with it to avoid damage to the lenses
A
setting it up is straight forward and easy. You need software on PC + Tablet + phone (downloaded from 360-Tetha). Here is a small summary
After the device has been charged with the assisting USB cable....
1. you need to connect with PC for setting up with 360Tetha cloud + e.g. facebook + firmware
2 then you connect through WiFi with your phone and change WiFi password
then...you can use Tetha software on your mobile to control the camera that has been placed on e.g. a small gorillapod....
assure that the horizon is straight...as is always the case with Fisheyes:); you can check this form your Mobile-Live-View
you then install interval snaphots (e.g. 8 sec and 3 shots..)......you walk away....and press the snapshot button on your mobile device....
you will hear a strange beep...and the shots will be taken.:)
You then load the files through Mobile-app (transfer)...or through cable and PC (and app on PC)
B
Using the apps you can load the files to 360Tetha cloud that transforms the files to a 360 photo
here are a few examples....I hope the link works:cool:

C Movies....well...this works too!
But the support is better for Apple...so I am still experimenting how to upload a video 'as a link'. As soon as I have found out I will put a link up here;)
this works..however the Ricoh site only permits 5Mb per movie shot...so you need to chop it in pieces:fedup:

this is a very fine camera and perfect companion with the K3
I also bought the GW3 and adaptor (hood; adapter; 21mm)
the menu works very intuitive and can be configured as you wish
with special buttons for MF, 21-28-35-47(mm FF), JPEG/RAW etc
the lens is very sharp and the sensor is APS-C, K5 like
perfect for snapshots and street photography
some examples with the 18mm
and this one with the 14mm (21mm FF) that works very well

I own both the Q and this silver Q7
I also own the prime and 2 zooms (with hoods)
in practice I use the prime most of the times since it keeps the camera very small and compact
what I like most is the fun factor....just to play around. But I also use it a lot when going into the city or using it for street photography.
The Q7 is much better than the Q.....imho. The bigger sensor helps out and boosts up noise capabilities

This is an excellent tool and boy toy! It's fun!
I own both the 01 and 02; in practice I use the 01 mostly, but the 02 can be used very well for wide angle views. I bought lens hoods for both of them
Compared to compacts the quality and flexibility is much better. I agree with Don Tomaso and others about the comparison with K5/Kx...and the batteries..
but...as a 2nd camera it can allways be at your service and it's of incredible value.
For example with city trips it can stay in your pocket; you just pull it out to take unexpected snapshots of what's going on around you.
I am rating it a full 9 due to it's flexibility and fun factor.
