360 degree spherical camera which was announced in March 2019 represents a significant upgrade over earlier models in that the two image sensors are now much larger, namely of 1 inch type and with 20 mega pixels each. Furthermore the Z1 adds Bluetooth to its Wi-Fi capabilities for more flexibility when connecting it to a smart phone.
As a first for the Theta line, the Z1 has a display which can show the exposure settings as well as number of remaining shots.
The Z1 is able to shoot RAW in addition to JPG, and features 4K spherical video recording and streaming as did the Theta V.
was announced, now featuring an internal storage of 51GB (the first model has a 19GB memory). All specifications not related to memory size remain unchanged.
