Pros: | Simple, rugged | Cons: | Simple, no manual mode max speed 1/500 | | You always hold a special place in your heart for your first "real" camera. On a Michigan State Freshman budget in 1984 this was a steal at 69.95 with a 50mm and 135mm on the clearance rack at Sears.
It was rugged and simple to use, learn one thing at a time, AP setting and Depth of Field What is a shutter speed wheel on better cameras you have L, A, X and B. There is no manual mode, but heck, I was coming from a Kodak Disc 4000.
It got me wanting to take pictures and that was what was important. For those versed only in Pentax, this camera was simular to the MV1
Because of this camera, I saved up money from my Job cleaning Onion Fly cages in an Entomology Lab to buy my first KR-30sp which lasted me from my Senior year, to my year at Camp Kasey Korea in 1994.
