Pros: | Cheap, rigid, glass, will not discolour | Cons: | None | | Initially I was a bit sceptical - as it is made of thin glass, it was bound to break. Over a year later it is still as good as it was the day I'd stuck it on.
I have used plastic film protectors before, they were always a pain to put on, with inevitable annoying small bubbles and trapped dust. They also tended to yellow and generally disintegrate after a while
The GGS is in a class of its own. It is easy to put on - it is held on by a narrow strip of double sided adhesive round its edge. Any trapped dust particles simply do not show. Being optically flat glass it does not affect the visibility of the LCD, if anything it seems to improve it in strong sunlight. Its surface is very hard and scratch resistant - after some 14 months of use I can see only a couple of minute scratches on it. It is easy to clean, a quick squirt of screen cleaner (or even spit) and a wipe get rid of any nose grease which does not soak in as it does with the plastic screen protectors.
It fits the screen of my K-7 perfectly. Beware of imitations and fakes though, which may not be as good.

Pros: | Seems to do its job well! | Cons: | None, yet! | | An accident a month ago damaged my K-5, including the display screen got scratched, badly. So I looked around and found a protective glass, that you add to your display, made by a Chimese company called GGS.
The thin glass sheet is laminated from two sheets of optical glass, with a plastic sheet between them (a bit like bulleyproof glass screens), and sits half a millimeter off the display, so no problems with air bubbles trapped between the glass and the display, which easily happens if you apply adhesive protect sheets.
Highly reflective, so might prove to be less good in harsh light - time will tell!
Addendum:
Still doing sterling service, will buy a few more ;-)!
