Saw this on a Cash Converters web site and thought I'd like to give it a try - not entirely needed since I already have a Pentax 50/1.7 K-M, but I've always liked the Helios lenses on other cameras. You can adapt the M42 models to most cameras, but only with manual iris operation, with this lens on...
| | Sigma APO EX DG IF Macro 180mm F3.5 Review |
I bought the lens fro a PF member 2nd hand and I am very happy with the lens. I used it on my K-3iii and K-3. The lens is really sharp. I like the tripod collar which is very well balanced and is useful to work on tripod IMO.
To date, I used the lens for outdoor, landscape and running water. Ia m im...
| | Vivitar / Panagor (Kiron 22xxxxx) 28mm F2.5 Review |
My version of this lens is the m13 with the m42 mount and 67mm filter thread. oh boy...
this lens is a bit large for a 28mm lens, but it wasn't a problem for me, but for some, it may be too big. the front element is large, but if you drop it, the front element is vulnerable to damage because it is ...
| | Sigma EX DG Aspherical 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 Review |
This is one of the widest rectlinear lenses ever made for full frame in K-mount. It was introduced with the usual variety of mounts around 2003, but the K-mount version (KAF to be exact) seems to have been discontinued soon after because Pentax had no full frame camera in their roadmap at that time....
| | Cosina Cosinon MC 55mm F1.2 Review |
The Cosina 55mm 1:1.2 MC is one of several identical lenses (see details above) that Cosina designed and marketed for K-mount circa 1996. I bought mine new in box ... and mostly it's stayed there! Until I recently decided to see how it might perform on my full-frame camera. I can't recall what I pai...
| | Irix 21mm F1.4 Dragonfly Review |
I bought this lens as a large-aperture prime, since, on an APS-C body, its focal length translates to roughly 30mm, which is about the average of my two favorite prime focal lengths.
It'
s a beast of a lens: heavy, which means lots of glass, but well-constructe
d, apart from the plastic used fo...
| | KONICA 50mm F1.4 Review |
I got a deal of a lifetime on this lens, as I only paid 5 dollars for the lens, in good condition. It is built like a tank, but my butterfingers have dropped this lens 3 times and I fell onto the lens once, so i can't use filters anymore until I replace the filter thread (size is 55mm). this is my f...
| | Panagor 400mm F5.6 Review |
The context iof this review is the cost of getting a 400mm lens today - AND -
the proven ability of 1970-80s photographers to get really great compressed landscape/citys
cape images and wildlife and sports photos using 400asa colour film (later on Fuji CN 800 asa) and sometimes GAF 1000 asa with 40...
| | Tokina RMC / SZ820 80-200mm F4 Review |
Pretty good, I got mine for dirt cheap and for the price I paid it's a great lens.
The aperture ring feels kind of loose, it lets you go between stops. I thought this was an age/wear related issue but it seems they're all like that, actually kind of useful in my experience (if a little weird).
| | Super Carenar MC 135mm F2.8 Review |
Great colors, high contrast, bright and sharp photos than Pentax M 135mm f3.5 . The foggy photos seen in old lenses are not present in this lens. It produces some CA. But I recommend you try it.
