It has to stop somewhere though, right?
That man has nothing better to do than torture me.

It's sad.

Granted, not nearly as sad as my 85 plight, but still sad.

I'm serious. It's 4:30PM right now. Every hour, I will increase Ira's price ($225) by $10 while decreasing everyone else's price by $10 ($350). Once everyone else's price reaches $250, I will delete the listing and keep the 85mm f1.9. It will sit unused on my shelf for years to come.

I do not plan on using this lens for photographic purposes. Its only purpose is to destroy Ira's marriage.

Ira, tick tock, tick tock. The lens can be yours by the end of this week if you wish it.

My marriage will not be ruined by buying this, or winning my other auction.

My marriage will be ruined by NOT acquiring either of the two, which pushes me right into much more expensive DA 10-17 territory, perfectly coinciding with next payday.

So you're saying if I spend another $275 on the lens on Ebay, I will in effect destroy your marriage?

SWEET!

My iTouch does not allow me to verbally and
intellectually humiliate you in the manner you so clearly deserve, so I bid adeu until I get home around 6pm.

I'm only on my second rum and Coke, and this is slowing me down.

Wowzee. That's a great deal, Ira. Some day you will finally get one of these lenses and then Pentax Forums will become a boring place.

When I get one, there will be another behind it to fulfill the same madness!

But seriously:

This is my last attempt at this lens. Today's search for eBay BIN prices on this lens are beyond retarded. They are in the STRATOSPHERE, and I know the lens isn't all that great. I just wanted the FL.

Once you get near 300 bucks and beyond, and see what you can get in fully automated modern gear for $200 more, it's a losing proposition to follow something mystical at the end of the rainbow.

I can learn to live without it.

For God's sake--I was arguing with a few people here who said you can pick up a 50 1.4 Tak for $25. Just LOOK at what these Taks are selling for now.

90 bucks MINIMUM.

No, I think Mike Cash has sufficiently broken you to the point where no other lens will ever take the place of the 85mm.

Like I've said earlier, I'm not done with you, yet. I still have a few more tricks up my sleeve.

I've been spending AF money on MF lenses. I refuse to use AF, I will not be like every other damn photographer in NYC.

What a nice lens. Taking some portraits of my co-workers ... the pics come out sweet with beautifully blurred backgrounds.
