Focus locking problem with K7 & DA12-24

Apart of the annoying focus locking problem when shooting in dark ambient with K7 (point&shot cameras and at least Canon DSLR's worked fine), I had several times difficulties with DA12-24 locking focus even in perfectly good light (I use no filters with this lens). Has anyone else noticed similar problem?

i have a k7 and 12-24 combo also, i think the issue is because the lens is so wide, u actually need a subject to focus on. i.e. if u focus on a wall, it wont do it, but if u focus on maybe the corner of a table, it will.

if thats what u meant then yes it happens, and i deal with it with whats stated above.

lol i hope that made sense! i just woke up :P
