Please help to choose between two lenses

I decided to upgrade my lenses to a faster one. I came across with two lenses, the sigma one : Sigma AF 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro url: 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro - Standard Zoom Lenses - SigmaPhoto.com
and the tokina : Tokina AF 28-80mm f/2.8 AT-X PRO. url: http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=236

Both lenses have the same price around 450 pound but i'm really confuse which one? Please any suggestions ?

I would go for Tokina - supposedly they are made in the same factories as Pentax.

The Sigma option is fine but somehow I do not trust very much their coatings, I believe the Tokina has better ones.

I've got to say, I have the Tokina and I love it. I have limited lens experience, but so far the lens is stunning! It's hard to catch them for sale in the Pentax mount, it may take a month or more before one pops up here or on E- bay. Keep in mind, there is also a 28-70 f2.6-2.8 that Tokina makes - I am not sure how that performs.

The old 28-70/2.6-2.8 is very rare and was of high quality (reportedly). It will be comparetively expensive.

If you search for user reports, you will find a similar assessment.
