Aperture Ring on Sigma 70-200mm

Hey all,

By Christmasish I hope to be in the market for a good, fast Telephoto zoom. I've heard excellent stuff about the Sigma 70-200mm. I know that it's a FF lens design, and so for maximum versatility with my old film stuff, I was wondering: Exactly which version of this thing has the aperture ring?

I've heard that the aperture-ring version is also the sharpest, so, you know...that's good too. I also hear that this version, like the others, never changes physical size when zooming or focusing.

If I buy a lens like this, I want to get max versatility for my dollar, as I don't have much money and Photography is just a hobby for me.
