For that price, even the f/3.5 version should be in reach. Wicked.

offer $200 and see if it sticks as a bid

the seller must be an idiot to think any one will pay that much?

I paid $200 for my super tak 85F1.9, and while I have stated before that I have not ever seen that price anywhere, I can't imagine just one lens for $775. the price is more than I paid for my entire M42 kit, which includes the following

Tamron 24mmF2.5 with M42 adaptor
Vivitar 28mmF2.5
SMC Tak 35mmF2
Super Tak 50mmF1.4
SMC Tak 50mmF4 macro
Super Tak 85mm F1.9
TeleLentar preset 135mm F2,8
SMC Tak 135 F3.5
Takumar preset 200mm F3.5
Full set Ashai extension tubes
Ashai macro focusing helix 15-30mm variable extension tube
Tamron Multi coated 2x TC
Soligor 2x TC

Have fun with the 10-20

Hahaha, I recognize that seller name. He posts insane prices on many things. Flip through his other listings and look for the word "minty."

$230 actually and $40 less than what you're about to spend.

Will you really forsake Mike Cash and the Takumar club for a bunch of ******s at the Sigma 10-20 club?

you might as well be a Canikon user or a FA LTD user.

But it's got the case, hood, caps & most importantly, minty!

Let it go & instead stalk the elderly for M42 glass.

I would have sworn I saw that 85/1.9 in the market place yesterday for about 1/2 that price, and wondered why you weren't all over it.

But what about the slightly more unusual 10-17 fisheye that also was in your sights. You are going to settle for the Sigma and be conventional? Doesn't sound right...

This lens is a fairly rare transition model. Most F:1.9 versions are Super Takumars, while most Super-Multi-Takumars are the f:1.8 version. Still, this high of a price is unjustified. I suppose he's hoping someone will want this unusual version enough to grab it anyway.
