I checked out these images and honestly these shots did not impress me too much. Cannot wait for a review on photozone ...
What don't you like about them?

I think it is much too early to comment on the output of this lens. The images posted here are low contrast/open aperture images that do little to demonstrate the attributes of the lens capabilites. There is little or no contrast or contrast junctions so CA cannot really be gauged.

Further, other than the full jpeg it is impossible to judge output quality at all and that particular image, while quite beautiful, provides very limited imformation. We should have a pretty good idea over the next month or so, when forum owners start posting their images, what the overall capabilities are.

A bit OT and not replying to anyone else in particular, just throwing this out there... but anyone else wish for just a bit longer DA* @ f/2.8 aperture? about 80-200 or 100-250 would be my preference (yes, lets bring the FA* 80-200 back)... I'm disappointed the other bit longer DA* midrange zoom coming up will be f/4 myself. I say this having experienced 'limitation' of the usefulness of the 12-24mm f/4 (especially given its cost), in the inability to take even 1/2 way decent clear sharp indoor available light pix. Taking pix of wildlife under the canopy of trees does better much w/ f/2.8.

Yep, seems like a hole in their lineup since both Nikon and Canon have an 80-200/2.8 (we'll have Sigma/Tamron 80-200/2.8's soon but there should be an OEM one).
I did write to them and request that they add this on their web site, but they said put it in writing w/ a letter :-)
