[langtitle=no]Disassembling a Vivitar macro-TC[/langtitle]

Picked up a P30t with a Vivitar macro-teleconverter (KA) recently, which is not able to display aperture. I've tried cleaning the contacts, and tried a few lenses, with no result.
Has anyone disassembled one of those, and know how to check the "A" contacts? I suppose the mounts should go off first, but I would be helpful if anything got loose during the process.

(It was cheap, around $25 for P30t, a broken Tokina superzoom, the Vivitar and shipping, so no big loss.)

This excellent post describes the typical repair. It's not too bad, a few things to keep track of.

I'll add this thread for general info on the TC:

Thanks, I wasn't able to look it up, exactly the kind of thing I were thinking of!
