hey guys, so i was perusing fleabay for a DA 15mm LTD, knowing what the range for prices would be for this lens, I've been keeping it in the back of my mind for a while now, but just look at this Pentax 21800-Pentax smc DA 15mm f/4 ED AL Limited Ultra - eBay (item 120570284880 end time Jun-14-10 09:34:05 PDT) and tell me if thats a convenient ripoff or not

Any bets on whether or not somebody Pays that price? I'll beat the price by $40, and I'll even throw in the box . In case it needs to be done, I'll write Ultra on the box too!

To clear up the confusion- we were joking, and the eBay listing just has that in there for marketing purposes. There is no ultra version; it's not even a Pentax term

"Ultra" is part of the ultra-wide angle moniker......probably got truncated.

Ah, that's a logical explanation of the "ultra". But it is more fun to ridicule the seller; seems they deserve it anyhow :-)

Except that apparently this guy thought the label was worth an extra $500

Well they dropped the "ultra" in the title now, so the stratospheric prices have come down a bit, lol.

I would imagine being ultra as "ultra wide", but then again, 15mm is wide, but not really ultra wide. Something like that would have to be 10mm and downward. I do recall a rumor that pentax did made a lens with a 8mm focal length, it didn't even need much of a focus ring cuz everything will pretty much be in focus by the 8mm focal length!

Every time I search for a lens on ebay I see tons and tons of lenses listed for at least twice retail price or more, I'm not sure why
