Sigma 14/2.8 vs. Pentax 14/2.8?

I've been trying to search the forum for info on the Sigma 14/2.8, but it keeps telling me I haven't entered enough search terms.

Has anyone here used the Sigma 14/2.8 and can they compare it to the Pentax 14/2.8?

Thanks.

Both lens aren't perfect lens... the sigma has the advantage of f/2.8 constant...

If you want wide, buy Sigma 10-20, this a great lens!

The 14/2.8 is a prime so it's 2.8 constant. I had the 10-20 on my Canon 20D and loved it, but I so much prefer primes to zooms. Alas, there isn't a prime wider than 14mm for Pentax. I might just have to get the 10-20 and use gaffer's tape to make it a 10mm prime!

Sorry, my mistake about the Pentax lens, i read wrong... lol... in fact wide primes is rare for pentax... i'm searching too for one...

Look as review of pentax 14mm prime: Pentax SMC-DA 14mm f/2.8 ED [IF] - Photozone Review / Test Report

An HandsOn sigma 14mm: Sigma 14mm

The Pentax in this case is certainly a better lens...

Actually to be blunt even the Sigma 10-20 is a better lens than the Sigma 14/2.8, I know a number of people who have purchased the Sigma 14/2.8 and they all had pretty obvious focus problems on Pentax DSLR, that Sigma can't/won't fix as yet.

LoL you'd probably have way better luck going manual focus.
