lemme guess, he just spoiled your secret purchase.

honestly speaking, eventhough if it wasn't advertised here, I got a feeling that it would go past $250 on the last day.

I myself was looking for a certain lens a couple of weeks back that was only selling for $250 and I was willing to pay for $350. an hour left during the last day of bidding, it was sold for $500 bucks. OUCH !!!

that is some crazy prices for FA 50 1.7 ! I saw one sitting in a shop for roughly USD $120. Will go back to check if its still there (prob not!)

So what would you do in my situation? What would you keep and what would you sell?

Currently my lineup is entirely manual focus SMC takumars: 17/4, 35/2, 50/1.4, 85/1.8, 300/4, 500/4.5

I have zero AF lenses...decisions decisions....

Sell one of the FA43s and keep the rest, of course !

Oh and I'm shooting with the K10D which is annoying me these days with ISO800+ sensor noise :P

Umm.. let's see:
I would ditch the MF 35 and 50, and all AF lenses except 31 and (maybe) 135. And then get a Rokkor 58/1.2 and convert it to KA

Maybe get a K7 if enough money are left after selling the lenses?

Just a highly subjective opinion, mind you: 31 replaces 35, has AF and a nice feel in MF (if needed); and.. I don't like 50mm on APS-C, 58 would be much nicer and the Rokkor PG has a special charm to it : )
