pancake lenses (pentax vs others)

One of the reason for me to stay with pentax is the limited lenses (with good balance between size and PQ).
Now, every other companies selling pencake lenses too e.g. Panasonic, Olympic and Sony (with their new NEX system).
It's because the advantages of mirrorless systems? Or Pentax still has an lead on the pencake lenses?

I'm pretty sure Pentax is winning as far as bang-for-your-buck and quality of the limited lenses goes. See here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/101470-da-panc...ular-lens.html
