Pentax-F 35-135mm F3.5-4.5 no reviews

Can't find a thing on this lens and I've searched everywhere. Has anybody ever used this lens?

Thanks,

Ken

I have this lens. It's not an expensive lens but it gives pretty decent images. From what I've read and actually experienced, it is better than the FA(FAJ)28-80 and FA28-90 zooms.

3 things to note are: 1) it's not internal focus so the front element rotates, 2) the closest focus distance is about 3-3.5 feet, and 3) it has a "macro" feature at 135mm which goes to 1:4 (can't remember exactly since I'm at work).

I rarely use this lens since I also have the FA28-105/3.2-4.5. If you are interested, I can sell my F35-135 to you for $100 + shipping. (A massive sum, I know, ha ha!)

Hi George,

Nice to hear from you, haven't seen to many posts from you lately. Thanks for the offer but since you like the FA 28-105 better I'll look for one of those.

Thanks,
Ken

Hi Ken,

Work has kept me pretty busy over the last few months. And there's still lots going on. Plus I just got back from 2 weeks vacation. Plus my house got burglarized when we were away.

The FA28-105/3.2-4.5 is my most used zoom and pretty much the best of the pack. Small, lightweight and excellent image quality. (The FA*28-70/2.8 is the best but it's expensive and hard to find.) The FA28-70/4 is also supposed to be good, but lots of people have reported the elements separate over time. The Sigma EX 28-70/2.8 is also a very nice lens.

Wow! A burglary in Canada? Another import from us you didn't need, sorry to hear that. I'm not willing to spend the money for the FA*28-70/2.8 so I'll look for the others.

Thanks,
Ken
