white round spot on the lens glass?

Hi I just found a round spot on the lens glass on my 18-250. I want to know what is this? It does not affect the images that I have taken. I had these also on my da40 lens. Sadly I wasnt able to call pentax regarding this matter, as Ive forgot to call them before the warranty on my DA 40 lens expired. Now this happaned again, I still have till september to call before the warranty expires on my DA 18-250. Any suggestions? I would like to know if this is also covered by the warranty?

If it wasn't there when the lens was new, it's not likely going to be covered by the warranty.
I presume you have checked to see if it's something stuck to the glass that can be cleaned off?

try cleaning it with lens cleaning solution. Use UV filter from now on all your lenses to prevent this. It does not look like damaged coating, more like a toothpaste drop

As kytra said, definitely try a wet cleaning.

I had many spots on the front element of my Sigma 24-60, and I thought they represented some kind of damage. Neither a soft wipe nor a LensPen made any difference. But with some lens cleaning solution, they disappeared entirely!
