Maybe this should be some sort of FAQ or sticky.
Since Sigma bases their development for new mount features on reverse engineering first-party lens features, Sigma will not be releasing HSM lenses until after Pentax releases some first-party SDM lenses. The DA*s (Pentax's first SDM lenses) have not yet shipped, so Sigma can't even start working on Pentax HSM-mount lenses yet.
In short, you won't be seeing any third-party lenses with sonic/piezoelectric motors for quite a few more months (at least) since Pentax hasn't even released first-party lenses with such technology.
For some lens families, third-party manufacturers offer both "sonic" and classic "screw drive" variants, but some lenses might be designed so they can't be implemented with "screw drive" and so might not ever be seen until Sigma feels comfortable that they have fully REd Pentax's SDM system and tested the reimplementation.
