Yes-- C mount lens question

(Mods, if ever a thread seems like it should moved, it's this one--but I didn't know where to put it.)

We have old CCTV cameras with 25mm C lenses. (I work in Toll System Engineering for Florida's Turnpike.) These are old and discontinued, and we have hundreds:

http://www.ni.com/third_party/pulnix/pdf/tm1300.pdf

They'lre b&w, and will be replaced over the next two to three years, along with all of our other tolling equipment. (Going to a new system made by Raytheon.) However, in the meantime, we want to find 37mm (or thereabouts) lens replacements. This has to do with the differing field of views of different lanes, exits, etc., and catching the image of the license plate.

We also need the tough stuff for outdoor use, because although encased in plexi, the cameras are still exposed to heavy elements.

Anyone know anything about C lenses that point me to good economical replacements around 37? Or a TC solution?

Thanks!

(I'm not an engineer, but I play one at the office.)

C mount lenses have a 1 inch 32 tpi thread

the lenses have a system regestry distance of 17.526mm and as a result are somewhat limited in application.

not sure if it helps but it is all I know.

many large cities have motion picture equipment supply houses, and it is possible you will find some c mount lenses there. However, c-mount lenses aren't really used professionally and it could be a long shot.

you could also check DBL, as they have security camera systems and those often use c mount lenses. http://www.dbldistributing.com/

or Security Camera Warehouse:

also, here's a list of c mount lenses for sale for security cameras:

(I googled "c mount" security camera lenses)

as much as it is a cliche, you can always check ebay.
