FA 100mm f2.8 Macro on Ebay

only 3 hours left as I write this with a buy it now for $320.
Pentax SMCP-FA 100mm f2.8 f/2.8 MACRO 1:1 lens - (item 150148635561 end time Aug-06-07 07:35:42 PDT)

I'd like to get it myself but I have a Vivitar 105/2.5 coming in the mail and can't afford both. Dang it!

I may have bought if it were a D-FA.
The FA is twice as heavy at ~ 1.4 lbs

OZ????

Nice item, well worth a look at it on ebay.
Interesting though, sell to USA, Canada, Uk .
Once again Australia, not accepted. What's wrong with us down here, we are not a 3rd world country you know.

wow, $320 is a great price and the FA 100 feels like a tank shell. The only reason I'd choose it over the DFA is the focus ring size. The F and FA series focus rings although connected, feel very lifeless and don't have the nice dampings of the older A, M and K generations.

Don't you guys have a pretty intense customs and import regulation? A fellow who works here is from Sydney and he always gets bothered when he has to ship stuff home as he finds it such a hassle. A few friends working there have said the same thing (working in Sydney that is) about bringing stuff in.

How's this for weird? The guy doesn't sell it with a starting bid of $310, and a BIN price of $320, so he relists it with a starting bid of $310, and a BIN of $350. MUCH more tempting now!

Cuz he either is currently registered here or lurks here. Check his feedback. Plenty of Pentax items recently sold. He's probably reading up on this stuff as we type it. haha

That is weird. But it was only a one day listing and now he has it up for 5 days. It looks to be in good shape for a great price, it seems everywhere I've looked it goes for $500.
I bet he needs the money fast, immediate payment required.

I bid on a lens once - $190 I think. Didn't reach reserve, but the guy then offered it to me for $180!! Duh. I took it

Don't take it personally, Bramela, the UK, Canada & US are the only PayPal "seller protected" countries, which support the confirmed address guidelines. That would be my guess as to why it's harder to find sellers peddling their goods to Australia.
