Originally posted by Tom in Delaware Yes, the Adaptall-2 K-mount adaptor will let you use the lens on your K200D. You will have to use stop-down metering but the K200D works well with manual focus K-mount lenses. I have the Adaptall-2 40A 35-135 lens and it is a very sharp lens, good color rendition.
Unless he gets a PK/A ad2 mount. Then he can do A.
Edit: There are actually about 5 different Tamron adapters for Pentax, 3 K-mount and 2 m42 mount. (There's also the Ricoh but that's another story). With the K mount versions there is the original Adaptall mount (relatively rare) and the newer Adpatall 2 mount that allow the lenses to work like the Pentax M series lenses. The most recent is the PK/A which allows lenses to work like the A series lenses. This one brings something of a premium. The other 2 are for m42 bodies. 1 is a basic auto aperture adapter and the other one is for operation with the ES, ES II and Spot F open aperture metering m42 bodies. It has a gearing looking structure on it that makes it recognizable. I guess I should gather these up and take a pic of them sometime.
