DA* 50-135 availability

I've been eyeing this off for a while now, but it's been out of stock at both Adorama and B&H for ages....

Anyone know why this might be?

Pure speculation... But wondering if maybe there are supply problems... perhaps due to a design change in the SDM?

you must have gotten the last one as they are no longer available there either. i've been searching for a week with no success

Just did a search...and you are right. Nothing listed now for Prodigital or 123easyship on Ebay.

Here's one up for auction in US:

Pentax 50-135mm f/2.8 ED AL IF SDM Lens on eBay.ca (item 320542602999 end time 09-Jun-10 12:22:43 EDT)

Thanks for that

I wasn't trying to suggest they couldn't be found at all... just that the "bigger" volume places haven't had stock for a while. My theory is that what's still out there is "old" stock, which is one of the reasons I'm reluctant to buy from local (Australian) suppliers... they probably don't move much so what stock they have would most likely have been imported pre- any SDM improvement (not to mentioned purchased at a much less favourable exchange rate).

Hmmm.. so they are... I had my email registered with them to notify me when they came back in stock.... but I hadn't heard anything.... Cheers.

Now I just need the exchange rate to go back up
