1st with DA40 Ltd

After listening to advice here, and then seeing it on sale for $339.00 I decided to
get one for vacation. I think Adam and others are right when they say the reason
this lens is so popular is because of the price, size and quality. The big thing I hate
is that damn screw off lens cover. Only a matter of time before I lose it. I got to
put it through a good workout at the mall in DC with some night shots.Name: IMGP3027.jpg

(Looks like someone beat me to my suggestion for the replacement cap)

Nice night shots, DC is a great city for photo ops. I especially like the ones from Korean War Memorial, I have not been there at night.

I agree about the lens cap for the DA 40mm. My wife told me I needed to take a long look at the screw off lens cap because I will probably would lose it soon enough.

The manual says that you can use a 30.5mm filter on the lens hood, so I don't see why you couldn't get a 30.5mm lens cap and use that when traveling. Adorama sells a generic snap off version for less than $5. I think I will add one of those to my next order and see how that works.
