A15 is going for some odd 800GBP (K version maybe 50-100 less)
A20 - 200-250GBP
A24 - last I saw was 139
A50 - haven't seen one yet but Ks go for around 250 so add 50-100 for A
K55 - 40-65
A*85 - I saw one 3 months ago listed for 799 on page og good vendor was there only for few days
K85 - around 300
A*135 - last (and first for that matter) I saw week ago for 799

I always felt there was something special in bargains, and this kit seems to give a real sense of that. The only downside of course, is where the M42's are bound by adapters. Though I've modified most of mine with permanent adapters in place(which is a real blessing).

Though in all of this, I really have to say... those Russian lenses have really grown on me(splendid bargains).

I'm not a fan of the 135-200 lengths on APS-C, and anything below 135 is covered by the 85 in my books.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned any zooms yet. Anyway, just to throw one in there, I would recommend an A35-105/3.5 which will cover 2 through 4.

Stopped down, it is very difficult to differentiate between it and a prime.
The primes come to play when you need the extra speed.

5. 70mm to 105mm – K85/1.8
6. 125mm to 135mm – K135/2.5
7. 150mm to 200mm – K200/2.5
8. Over 200mm – K500/4.5

In addition add three specialty lenses:
K17/4 Fish-eye
K50/4 Macro
K100/4 Macro

That's an interesting statement, can you explain why ? I have the CZJ Electric Sonnar 135/3.5 and it's my favourite M42, very sharp & great bokeh and surprisingly even though not the fastest it does well in low light.

2. 30mm to 50mm - Takumar 35/3.5 (somehow, the sharpness and rendering of this one is special for me)

3. 50mm to 70mm - M50/1.4
4. 70mm to 105mm - M85/2
5. 125mm to 135mm -135/2.5
6. 150mm to 200mm -NA (IMHO, a bit of a struggle for MF above 135mm)
7. Over 200mm -same as #6 (but A*300/4 for the size and weight)
