Amazon has the DA 15mm f/4 for $499

Just pull the plug on this little gem.

Wow. It's US$800 here in Hong Kong!

Thanks. I have an itchy trigger finger now!

Yes, B&H and Adorama too. I couldn't resist and I'm waiting for the brown to deliver my copy from B&H. LBA strikes again!

Congrats. I miss that 'out for delivery' feeling.

With all this action, I expect to see PLENTY of new contributions to the "controls my mind" thread in coming weeks.

I want this lens, but I'm not quite at the point where I NEED it. Not yet.

My LBA won't get there all by itself, so get shootin'!

Pulling the trigger and pulling the plug are two entirely different things....

Mine was delivered today from B&H. Should be great for both landscapes and close situation shoots. And it works with the built-in camera flash without getting that dark spot in the bottom center of the picture. Focuses fast, even in low light.

Heh. heh heh. Ha ha ha. HA HA HA. HAW, HAW, HAWWWW!

You're token resistance is quaint. All it is, though, is your waking mind trying to talk your Id out of something that it (read, you) really want, and will eventually have.

You'll probably go to bed tonight without the lens, and wake up the next morning with your laptop on your covers, running, browser on Amazon, or B&H, or Adorama, Abes, etc... And you'll realize you've ordered the lens in your sleep. Your Id will have won.

Avoid this pointless battle altogether. Order it now.

There is, after all, only one way to go with this.

I get this a lot from Amazon:

Important Message

Pentax DA 15 mm F4 ED AL SMC Limited Lens (21800) cannot be shipped to the selected address.

I don't understand why this deal isn't offered to Canadians. I suppose I'd be even more ticked if I was an American from Alaska or Hawaii.
