Vivitar 2X TC + K 55/2 combi... (1 large img)

I've been testing a macro TC I picked-up from the marketplace(thanks MoreDave) with the intent of testing various lenses on it. I'm hoping to find the golden ratio(so to speak).
The hopefuls so far consist of: SMC-A 50/1.4, SMC-A 50/1.7, SMC K 55/2.0, HELIOS 44-7 58/2, HELIOS 44 58/2. Without looking, I'd say the results look promising. Tomorrow, I will setup a chart and put the TC through its paces.

A first shutter with the K 55/2 @ f16, TC set at 1:3 - Attempting to get the entire subject in focus.

...the end

Haven't tried them all but from your list, THE nicest lens I've ever used with the Vivitar Macro 2x TC (Vivitar) is the A50 f1.4. For sharpness, I would say it comes very close to rivaling both my DFA 100 f2.8 and The Vivitar S1 105. The TC falls kind of short when used as a regular teleconverter though. Enjoy it, for the money, it's one of the best out there. I sold both of mine to forum members some time back.
