My new DA55-300mm keeps impressing me

LC, it's a colour balance issue - completely correctable in PP, particularly if shot in RAW.
That #2 capture can have its temperature slightly increased and the tint biased towards the green spectrum and voila, you have a colour corrected image (hope you done mind Andras):
