Thanks everyone

I'll hold out for an SMC-A 24mm f2.8 then. Although, the last one sold on ebay for $AU354

Anyone want to sell me theirs?

I have another question, how much of a difference is there between the 24mm and the 28mm Pentax? Is there a considerable change in angle?

I might settle for a 28mm, but I think the 24mm is more usable.
The shorter you go, the more the difference in the few mm. 24/28 = .86X the field of view using the 28mm lens. In the other way around, the field of view of the 24 is 17% larger than the 28mm. This is a significant difference, believe me. We still have two film cameras and the FA 24-90 plus the cheap 28-80 (first issue). The difference is striking between the two. If you are looking for a landscape lens, go for the 24. If you are going for a "normal" lens, take the 28. The 28mm is equivalent FOV to 42mm - and the 43mm lens is the mathematically perfect normal lens.

Yep, that confirms it then.

I'm on the hunt for a 24mm. Already posted a thread in the WANTED section.

Not many of them around unfortunately
