A* 135mm/1.8 3D effect

Here's a wide open shot from a recent trip to our local gardens that I felt highlighted the 3D effect of this lens.

Is 1.8 just the magic aperture for 3D?

Wow...might be, as the 31mm seems to produce the same wide-open.

possibly. but I think any lens with a great reputation would create a certain magic regardless if it's 1.8 or not. and of course, the photographer plays a key role as well.
