Currently, that A*200 macro is occupying my thoughts a lot lately. Paypal buyer's credit and I can pay off monthly in course of a year without setting me back too much.
I really want that stupid lens.

Legendary SMC Pentax A* 200mm f/4 Macro ED Lens w/Box - eBay (item 260620804733 end time Jun-20-10 20:46:28 PDT)

My forecast is that it will be about $2,300. Hm . . . . .
The A* Macro is a great lens. Worth every penny
I guess it will be worth it to wait and use the 120mm Macro on the 645D though.

Maybe.

And how does Mrs. Nubi fit in this scenario? Is she aware at all of your world domination plans? Mrs. emr would probably bite my head off if I mentioned buying a camera like that!

A lot of pennies though.

Or this one;

@EX+@ Pentax SMC FA 645 Macro 120mm/f4 645N 645D, 120/4 - eBay (item 380234349305 end time Jul-16-10 01:22:38 PDT)

Can these be as good as A* 200 on APS-C???

Just kidding.

did you guys saw those initial 645D photo samples? with that kind of resolving power coming from both the 645D camera and 645D lenses, even the A*200/4 macro will get some real serious spanking.

Well, I will ask Falconeyes to give you a copy. He got one too, and he lives closer to you. Let's save some dough on the cost of shipping . . . . .

I am not an optics expert, but I sort of figured that. I think this is why my LBA will not be as bad once I get myself a 645D (year, right).

So simple to . . . . . just go out and get it. Actually not quite, eh? If you want one, I can certainly get one for you. Maybe when I get it, you want to get one together? I am sure that we get a bit more discount with that.

Mrs. Nubi is being worked on. Today is a father's day, so a good day to start mentioning it although it has been mentioned plenty already.

Vonage

Yep. I axed Verizon's landline entirely.
Went to Vonage. Everything seem ok.
I was spending about 100 dollars/months on landline and long distance. $60 savings per month x 12 is $720.

So here is a recap.

Initial start up - $2000
Fired gardener - $960 savings
Verizon axed - $720
Setback - - $500 for the car
-------------------------------------
Current total $3180

Not bad.

Next item - I am going to raise rent on my rental property by 10%.

have you considered refinancing and pulling out cash? or simply refinancing to lower mortgage payments - if you have them - and increasing your cash flow? now i think of it, it's better than selling a kidney.

A very good point. As a matter of fact, I have considered it. I am locked in at 30 yr fixed at 6.5 %. I have paid a point (if you can believe that) for that rate, but it has been almost 2 years, so it is almost a wash if I were to refinance. I am with Chase, and they have offered my 5.61% with no point. I would like a bit more spread, but I may be able to negotiate another 0.2% or so. I live in souther cal, the real estate value has taken a big hit, but in my area, not as much thankfully. My house is still worth more than the face value of the loan, so yes, it is a consideration.

I am planning on calling them tomorrow. The good thing about Chase (if there is any) is that they say they will streamline it so that I don't need to come up with butt loads of documents.

Will see.

Home equity loan??? Here is a dangerous thought for all you guys with LBA. Why don't you guys take out 10 grand and buy all the lenses you ever wanted once for all?

Well if you "need" A*1200, that is about all you can get with that . . . . .

Alright guys . . . .

Start bidding on this thing. Seriously. Bidding will certainly escalate during the last hour . . . .

Legendary SMC Pentax A* 200mm f/4 Macro ED Lens w/Box - eBay (item 260620804733 end time Jun-20-10 20:46:28 PDT)

Should I just bid for a $1,000 and not check it???

I am feeling very weak at the moment. Very weak.
