What about Sigma 8-16mm??

Hello everyone
I'm looking for a new wide angle, and I found Sigma 8-16... but it's hard to find reviews.. can you help me?
Anyone of you got it?

I don't have the lens but here is a couple of sites talking about it. It got good reviews for the one they tested on the Canon mount. Sigma says it will be available for the Pentax but I can't find anyone that is selling it online right now.

Sigma goes ultrawide with 8-16mm F4.5-5.6 DC: Digital Photography Review

Sigma AF 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 DC HSM - Lab Test / Review

EDIT: I thought this lens sounded familiar, there was a thread in the forums about a month ago, there is some good information in there.

Let me be the first among about a thousand people who say, "No, but I have the Sigma 10-20, and I love it."

It appears the pentax version is available now...at least in Australia.

Sigma Lens 8-16 mm F/4.5-5.6 DC HSM - Digital Camera Warehouse Australia

Price is a bit steep at A$899 but still cheaper than the DA12-24.

10-20 is probably a better buy. plus you cannot use any filters on the 8-16

you pay for the extra 2mm and better IQ rendering.
