lost lens cap of DA40

I wonder where I can find a replacement lens cap for my DA40?
And what it would cost?

Note that any cap designed to fit that size (30.5mm?) works. Also many report using the cap of a Fuji film canister, which fits pretty well and any photo shop would probably be happy to give you as many as you want for free.

Yep, film canister cap (most fuji films seem to have this type) fit perfectly in an 'interference fit" - much quicker than screwing the original in and out. Will post a pic shortly...

Edit: Here you go - as Marc says, most developing places will have a stack of these going spare....

This ridge gives a very positive location in the DA40's hood.

Excuse the mucky floor, chores are slacking thanks to all the football on TV!

Too bad the poster is from Philipines... shipping could cost more than the cap itself...

The OP has a DA40 and a DA70...... so if the freight of the lens cap was consolidated with the new purchase of say.... a DA15 or DA21 then it would be neglible.

I've only been there for work so havent had the chance to try, but I'd imagine street shooting in Manila would pretty wild. Fast moving, colourful, up close.

A friend of mine also from QC told me to check out the shops R Hidalgo (St) in Quiapo., says you can find anything there. (He did tell me not to take my camera, just in case, because I dont look like a local).
