How in the world did you take these shots?
Here is the setup I did with a SMC A* 300mm on that ME Super after shooting it with the Zeiss on. I applied a vignette in the image editor to get the glow around just the camera.

The Spotmatic was with a a light table where the back curves up and you don't get a seam in the background plus you can make the graduated background go lighter or darker by applying a light or not. And in the Spotmatic's case, I just didn't turn on the light underneath the table to get the shadows.

Here is the shot with the 300mm for reference. Same settings as the ME Super with the Zeiss.

What is amazing for me since I shoot medium format cameras most the time was how close I could get to the subject with that DA* 16-50mm at 16mm. It's something I'm not use to. I was so close to the lens of that 300mm the autofocus would not work and had to manually focus it. I was just having fun messing around with distorted perspectives.

I am amazed with what you folks have been doing with this lens. I am having to rethink my next lens purchase!

Three images shot two hours ago with the 16-50 and the K-7.
(for some reason my images change color when I save them for web; they are too blue. I wonder why?)

The monitor is viewing perhaps a RAW image while the web image is reduced to 8 bits (JPEG).

Looking at these images inspires me. There's just something about photographs made on Pentax cameras; there's a look that no other camera has.

It really makes me want to get off my but and go outside tomorrow!

I love these kinds of threads.

I love the first one, Oren, great colors and the Tetons are beautiful in the background.
