This is the Temple of Dawn in Bangkok. Shot with my K-x and DA*16-50. The detail at 100% is incredible

Nice shot. I'm with you on the quality of that lens.

I really like this lens. It's had a bad quality control reputation but it's quite an excellent lens. Here are some of mine:

Hope you enjoyed them

Agree with that, my only complaint against it is the weight. It is my most used lens, and also the lens that I have made my biggest print from. Another great reason to keep shooting Pentax!

Wow, Caat, those desert pics are amazing. Love the one with the girl. Where was it taken?

I wouldn't trade this lens for any other. Looking at pictures made by it convinced me to pay the extra bit over the Tamron and Sigma. Just looking to add the 50-135 to my collection

I like the weight of the lens, myself. I have the battery grip, and the camera balances beautifully.

Agree with the balance, and the dSLR + lens combination brings comments of appreciation for looks all the time. Very nicely built lens.

Glad you like them.

The lens is a bit heavy that's true but I guess that's partly the quality build. What I like about the lens, and which is evident in the really nice picture of the building you posted, is that it captures light very nicely and has very good contrast characteristics.
