Very nice Urke! I was wondering if you were going to be doing some stuff for the Solon Spartans.

Have a derby tomorrow night, hope I can pull it off with the 16-50.
They gave the Spartan game to the other guy. I was sent to cover the West High Trojans. At least it was another city state!

Just thought I would stick a photo a took of my brother-in-law. This photo was shot at iso 1600, 0.4 seconds and f10, to get the diffraction effect on the light in the background. The SR worked really well and everything is pretty sharp considering the situation.

Nice shots boys.

The old DA* 16~50/2.8 has been taking it on the chin in recent posts

so its nice to see some of us still have copies which work.

No complaints on my end after 6 months or so.

I bought mine in Nov, 2007, and it is a great lens! Frankly, even if the SDM packs it in, I'll keep it. Manual Focus is good enough for me, if the optics are the best, as they are.

Back on the beach--an action shot this time with my 3-year-old. This one was on the K7 at 50mm, f/3.5, 1/2000 sec, ISO 200...

Nice way to spend my 1000th post

K-7, @ 50mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/30th, +1EV

K-7, @16mm, ISO200, f16, 0.8s
The brightness and perspective of the view finder with this old camera shows how the modern SLR has taken a step backwards in this regard.
