The DA* 50-135 was the last lens I purchased in my collection. Considering that most of my photography revolves around my daughter's dance performances, this should have been the first lens I should have bought.

Seeing the beautiful photos in this thread I am inspired to use this lens more often. Though, I am not sure I can get as close to a tiger as jsherman did in his post!

Am I the only one that finds all these down-rezzed images almost useless in judging the relative image quality of a lens? True, some characteristics such as bokeh and distortion can still be evaluated, but sharpness, focus accuracy, CA, fringing etc is mostly removed from consideration. So c'mon with the full size shots! Or are you too AFRAID?

Although I use 16-50mm more often than 50-135mm, optically, 50-135mm is obviously superior to 16-50mm. Anyway, I love both lenses with weather seal ^_^.
