#1 DA*16-50 (always keep this mounted on the camera in the bag)
#2 DA* 50-135
#3 Looking for something longer (currently Sigma 70-300) admired the Bigma, but now with the price increase and release of new model, I might be looking for something different. Suggestions?

I only own two lenses at the moment:

1. DA 40 f/2.8 Ltd.
2. DA 21 f/3.2 Ltd.

I love them both. They are small, give great colors, and have pretty fast autofocus on my K-7. I interchange both as walkaround lenses, though i use the DA 21 more for landscapes/longer exposures.

I have a DA 70 and DA 18-55 WR coming in soon. I'm addicted to the Limiteds and the DA 70 would be great for portraits/extra reach. Im going to use the 18-55mm as a backup/travel lens. I'm traveling to the Canadian Rockies and would like to feel more confident with the extra weather protection. I also travel to Mexico frequently as well and it could downpour at times and other times its usually dusty. I'd rather sacrifice the WR to abuse than my Limiteds!

I try to keep only lenses I use.
Out of those I have, the one I really don't use is the Tammy 70-300
From the rest it's hard choice.

What lenses do I use most and why? Good question.

Of late the lenses I reach for most frequently are:

SMC Pentax M 400/5.6 My go to lens for birding. A natural as it is my longest lens.

SMC Pentax K 200/2.5 Sharp, fast multipurpose telephoto. Used mainly for sports and some birding

DA* 16~50 zoom General purpose walkabout lens. Fairly fast, sharp great colours.

DA40mm f/2.8
DA15mm f/4
DAL 18-55 (K-x kit)

I just love those limited lenses! I'd like to get a faster/better zoom at some point but the quality of the kit zoom is surprisingly good. I just wish it was faster.

18-55 kit lens
DA 10-17
Tamron 70-300

I only own 2 more lenses than those so when I can afford to upgrade it will be the Pentax 17-70, DA 55-300 and a DA 21 ltd, the 10-17 will be my novelty lens.

In no particular order:

Pentax DA* 16-50 f/2.8
Sigma 70-300 f/4-5.6
And a tie between a Sigma 28-105 f/2.8-4 and a Pentax FA 50 f/1.4

With the recent addition of a Tamron 70-200 f/2.8, I can very much see that supplanting the 70-300. Time will tell.

FA 43 f1.9
FA 77 f1.8
K 55 f1.8

Nothing else gets a look in at the moment for the shots i'm taking. TBH I reckon I could get away with just the 55, its quick enough, brilliant at face shots, pretty good at flowers, wonderful colour rendition, cool bokeh, built like a tank but nice and small.

1) DA* 16-50mm
I travel extensively and frankly, this 1 lens is adequate 80% of the time

2) FA* 24mm (It used to be FA Ltd 43mm)
What you can achieve with this lens is amazing

3) A tie between DA 12-24mm and DA*50-135mm
These 2 lenses have never failed me
