I am not sure, but I think that Jim King used to post here a couple of years back.

Marc, I know nothing about Jim King until you mentioned his name. After a quick look up on Google I don't think I'm anywhere close to his collection in term of values but in term of lenses count I think I'm ahead of him.
That would have been my guess :-)

400?

That must mean you have two 17 fisheye Taks and want to sell one at an enormous discount to someone here.

That's the next one on my radar.

~95% MF. I've only got one AF lens (FA 4/28-70mm) which I use when I have to get shots quickly and critical sharpness is not needed. All my "serious" photography is done with manual focus lenses.

I appreciate good IQ but don't have too much money so it's Takumars, CZJs, Vivitars for me.

Too bad I did not know you were looking for one. I handled one in like new condition with case and caps at a local shop a few months back. I think it sold for about $450.

Of the 6 lenses I have, 2 are AF(31mm Ltd and Sigma 100-300mm f4). The 31 is usually on a MF film body and the Sigma is about to be sold because I don't have much interest in the long tele side of things these days. So, I'd say I do about 90% MF. It's not necessarily because I prefer MF, it's just that the lenses I like or want tend not to be available in film compatible AF variants. I also shoot more film than digital these days and only use MF bodies.

Serious work (i.e. event photography) and shots over 135mm (rare) means AF..... other than that its all MF

Id have maybe one or two lenses other than the kit lens if it wasn't for Pentax's cheap affordable primes of old Almost all are top notch quality too

*eye's the K 50mm F/1.2 and M 85mm F/2*

In terms of AF vs MF, I'm about at 50/50 ownership. The AF lenses tend to end up on the camera more but I find myself manual focusing more often than not. Mostly because it's faster for me in some cases, so I just throw the lever and twist the ring. That's one of the main reasons too, that I've never liked lenses like the FA50 and FA35. They just don't feel comfortable to me.

I'm at about 30 in count and doubt, even without a wife, I'll ever see 400 lenses in my possession.

THe only AF lens I got is the kit lens and I think I've used it once in the last year (and that was for like 5 shots). My favorite Pentax line is the K series, so I have a few of those and that's pretty much all I use.

I have one Auto Focus lens and one MF. For the type of shooting I do, MF isn't really appropriate. Whilst my Takumar doesn't get much love these days, I occasionally use MF on my Tamron lens for things that don't move.

I have more MF than AF lenses, but sadly I uses my AF more often. I'd like to use my MF more, but I need to get out and practice. It's still hard to get the focus I want without a focusing screen.
