Sigma APO 50-500mm F4-6.3 EX DG

Hi..! I recently bought my Bigma and making test shots during the last couple of days. It's great lens but I found the zoom ring is very heavy. That causes me trouble especially while shooting moving objects. Focusing the composition in wide angle and then zooming on the object is very difficult. Does anybody can give me a tip to overcome this trouble or anybody knows how to make this zoom rind softer and lighter?

Practice, Practice. I had problems with mine taking BIF pics. Starting Zooming from 100 at the wide end to about 300mm and had an easier time keeping the Bird in the viewfinder. Removing the mount ring helps if you are using it handheld. You will find that time and practice will help you get the most out of the Bigma. It has its downsides but for the price we Pentaxians have virtually no other choice to get us to 500mm.

The zoom ring will loosen up with use, it's not something to worry about. I had the same problem with mine when it was new, now it's fine.
