Came across comments about this software. Offers software that corrects lens pincushion/barrel distortion, vignetting, chromatic aberration, and perspective

Any comments experiences, etc.

It is simple and works perfectly well, so long as your lens is in the database. If not, there are steps to go about testing it and having it added. I purchased and use it as necessary, which is not so often.

PTLens is a grest software for lens distortion and chromatic aberration correction. It is well-priced and it is highly regarded by many Pentaxians as well across all brands (canon, nikon, olympus) more generally.

The lens database is impressive, and the developer is willing to add your lens based upon test photographs that you provide. (I did it and was impressed by the friendly, efficient response.)

Highly recommended...

Agree with everyone. It is very simple and easy to use. If you want to fix CA (PF), barrel distortion, and vignetting then PTLens is the way to go.

I use my copy to de-fish shots from my Zenitar (very rarely) or for general correction with my 18-55 kit. In my opinion, it is quite simply one of best values in photo software utilities.

Says what it does, does what it says.

what I don't like in this software is that it can't work with raw files. I wish to keep the raws so I could change exposition/colors any time, but to use ptlens I have to export jpeg and then correct that... I wish it were possible to automatically apply ptlens correction in software like LR3 or DCU. Or it could even mangle RAW pixel data directly...

interesting, but PSP X3 can also de-fish lenses, and adjust for pincushion and barrel distortion

I like it a lot, and it works as a plugin for Apple's Aperture, so it never breaks up my workflow.
