Grey import lens vs fully imported lens

I am looking to buy the Tamron 28-75/f2.8 and I was quoted USD370 for a grey import set and USD 415 for a fully imported set.

The cost difference is not that great but the delivery of the grey import lens is 2 weeks whereas the fully imported set can take up to 4 weeks or more (since pentax mount are not popular locally, so they say).

I am just wondering if there are any pitfalls of buying a grey import lens? Are they any ill experiences? Please share your thoughts.

Would you guys prefer original set or grey imported set?

Thank you.

Warranty will be an issue with a grey market lens, and return ability may also, depending on the merchant.

I don't know where you live but if you are in the states,
B&H has the US version for $379

IMHO, unless you are really stretching you budget, the grey market lens is not worth the $45 price difference.
