SMC-A 50mm f:1.7 with K-7

I Resently borrowed an old 50mm pentax lens and mounted it in my K-7. The info on pictures taken reads that its taken with a 35mm lens. Is this because of the non-full format factor?

No, it's because you incorrectly set the focal length in Shake Reduction prompt, which is shown upon startup if a manual lens is mounted

Welcome to the forum. As Adam says, the focal length recorded in the exif for non-AF lenses is determined by what the SR is set to. When you change lenses, you need to reset this value. The easiest way is to turn the camera off and then back on again. Alternatively, you can set it via menu.

I just didn't see that little menu when powering on the camera after lens switch until now. Thx alot!
