It's not the 200/300MM Takumar of our dreams, but Queenie finally has herself a nice long lens to go chase the birdies with! This morning I got my SPII a hunky Vivitar Tele-Zoom 75-260mm f/4.5 by Tokina.
$5
(Well, plus a few more for shipping.)
It was an absolute STEAL, and it's very nice lens I'm told. Plus, it's one of those T-mount lenses where if you have an array of adapters it can actually fit a few different kinds of cameras. It came with the M42, but I can see how that just might come in handy down the road. I won't make her share with the Yashica though. Only with other Pentax cameras. Yaz has her own Vivitar C/Y mount 300MM after all.
I'm actually very happy. All I need now for my Pentax kit is a good wide angle and I'm all set. We've been waiting a long time for one of these at a price we could afford and it looks like we totally lucked out with this one! Ultimately it cost me 2 Big Mac's but I don't need the calories half as much as Queenie needed herself a long lens anyway!
