Rokinon 8mm focus issues

Hello,
I've got a Rokinon 8mm fisheye and I can not get it to focus. I've read about infinity being way off, and indeed mine was. When set at about 5 feet, it was in focus @ infinity. So, I adjusted the focus ring, so that was correct. Then, short focus was way off. I set up a test bench, measured out 2 feet, got 2 feet in focus. Then infinity is nowhere to be found.
It's seeming like one of the issues where I'd need a shim or something, but this is a pentax mount lens. I can't figure out a way to move the plane of the lens.
(and honestly the shim thing is a guess. This is the first time I'm trying to figure out a focus issue)

Anyone experience similar issues, or have a solution? I've gotten a replacement lens, and it's exactly the same.

Camera body is k-7.

Thanks!
