I have both DA 70 and DA*50-135. I use them for different purposes, DA 70 for portraiture when I know that I will have easy and unfettered access to the subject, DA 50-135 for events, candid potraiture and concert photography, when I know access to the subject(s) may pose difficulties. The DA 70 fractionally edges out the 50-135 in sharpness, colour and rendition, which is very impressive for the 50-135 indeed.
It comes down to the use you have for your new lens.
